3 MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT PERSONAL BRAND PHOTOGRAPHY

Personal brand photography is SO much more than basic headshots you slap on a business card.

Personal branding means YOUR face is your business and like it or not, that headshot you had taken back in 2018 is just not cutting it anymore, sis!

Here’s the deal: Your ideal clientele want to know YOU. They want to feel like they can trust you. They want to resonate with you whether that’s the places you hang, the food you eat, whether you flip the pillow to the cold side at night, ALL THE THINGS. Here’s the deal: it’s hard to build rapport with your audience or clientele if you aren’t showing your face!

Here are three common misconception I hear about personal brand photography:

1. IT COSTS TOO MUCH!

You don’t need a brand new wardrobe or to fly off to find the perfect Parisian café. What you do need is a good photographer who can help you plan your outfits, schedule hair and makeup for you (included in our branding collections!) and discover locations you can utilize for your shoot that fit your business’ brand!

2. I’M TOO BORING TO BE THE FACE OF MY BRAND

Not a chance. Biggest lie in the history of the world. YOU are your brand’s special sauce. What makes you different? What makes you stand out? What is it about you that makes you a little WEIRD? Own that weird. Own your quirks, your flaws, your personality and let it SHINE! The more you show up as yourself, the more opportunity you are allowing for the right clients to find you! As your personal branding photographer, I spend time digging deep with you to discover your quirks, strengths and ideals. With a little trust on your part, we can create some magic together!

3. MY BUSINESS IS PRODUCT-BASED, I DON’T NEED PERSONAL BRANDING PHOTOS

Let’s just let this myth come to a screeching halt right here and now. There isn’t anything further from the truth. People interact with people, not with products. Even the most prominent brands in the world are run by people who make the business calls that affect the product and in turn, the customer. Getting in front of your customers will only strengthen that rapport and give them more confidence and obsession with your product.

Whatcha think? Anything I missed? Now that I’ve put your fears to rest, it’s time to learn how to confidently step in FRONT of that camera like the bad ass business babe you are.
